As should come as not great surprise to long suffering MBTA straphangers, the $2 billion plan to replace aged MBTA subway cars that date as far back as the Nixon Administrations is running behind schedule.
In spite of Quincy slipping back into yellow status for COVID-19 cases, the second highest level, per the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Mayor Koch is going full spreed ahead with the next step in unwinding COVID-19 restrictions.
Given a gimlet-eyed view of the findings, Quincy Quarry would suggest that the actual increase is probably higher – if not much higher– given that people tend to under report their level of imbibing and undertaking other vices.
