Specifically, Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch has yet again been whacked by the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance over accepting a number or straw campaign “contributions” to his campaign fund.
Mayor Koch claimed that he is “obviously disappointed” in the abuse of campaign finance law by Boston Property Ventures but said it was in “no way” a “pay-to-play” scheme by the company that built two luxury high-end condominium complexes in the city during the time the fraudulent donations were contributed.
Just when one might think that this year’s federal elective office races could not become any weirder, they of course did.
Even if this relatively rare October snow storm was well-forecast, the City of Quincy still both under performed in response as well as yet again did exactly did what could only be expected given its past performances when it comes to local snow events or most any other events for that matter.
