Are things are moving backwards locally with the snow?

Snow, snow, as well as even more snow yet is forecast for tomorrow night.

After the Saturday past snowfall dropped a solid five inches or so of fresh snow on Quincy and local streets were then often enough less than plowed wide on many already snow constricted residential streets, even more snow is expected to fall tomorrow,

Granted, while things at this point are not as bad as they were during the Winter of 2015, many locals are surely at at least DEFCON Two alert status given that many residential street are currently reduced to snowy goat paths given less to much less than but merely somewhat close to curb to curb snowplowing.

In turn, defensive steps surely include saving Super Bowl game watching snacks even if adult libations were likely drained by around the middle of the third quarter.

Key to potentially weathering the storm will be will local snowfall tomorrow be more at the two inch low end of the snowfall forecast or at the four inches high end range.

With post storm temperatures for the rest of the work week after the storm to run in the mid-thirties and maybe even a bit less cold, two inches more snow would likely be manageable — at least until a possible slushy snow event over this coming long holiday weekend.

A four inch snow event tomorrow, however, and one can only assume many will be reaching their collective wits’ end, especially if local public schools declare a snow day on Wednesday.

Accordingly, Quincy Quarry News’ ever-growing legions of loyal readers can count on the Quarry to be at the ready to get out and about to report on the impact of inclement weather subjected to inept responses by city officials.
