Quincy Mayor Thomas is facing a court hearing on or about July 28th per the latest dime dropped Quincy Quincy News’ way.
The hearing will be a motion hearing wherein the plaintiffs — the American Civil Liberties Union, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, The Freedom From Religion Foundation, and a number of local taxpayers — are seeking a court-ordered injunction to preclude Quincy Mayor Koch’s inane as well as surely proscribed plans per both the Massachusetts and United States Constitutions to install ten foot tall statues of Roman Catholic patron saints on the impending new public safety building until the court formally rules on the mayor’s plans.
As the outcome of this motion hearing is only reasonably expected to result in an order by the court to formally enshrine a currently private understanding to not install the variously offending statues until trial, it is only reasonable to assume that Mayor Koch will yet again doggedly press his Quixotic quests for trials and so continue his all but invariably losing experiences in court on all but innumerable other matters he has endeavored to appeal.
Further problematic as local election season is fast approaching, Quincy Quarry News is thus working on a Quarry story that lays out a costly to local taxpayers mess that is coming their way care of many years of other ill-advised actions and bad decision made by Mayor Koch.
Decisions and actions that have set the stage for potentially record-breaking residential property tax bill increases for local homeowners come Calendar Year 2026.
Wicked seriously record-breaking increases given a variety of not duly disclosed problems.
Another Timmons failure is in the cards. Has he ever won a case while working for the Mayor? Talk about being sent on another suicide mission…. I think this is going to be a tough year for him. He might want to retire. Maybe he can get appointed a judgeship like YourPalMoooochie. I doubt it because he has 0 credibility.
