Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch was slapped with a Muzzle citation for his stubbornly pressing his all but assuredly doomed plans to install Roman Catholic patron saints on the soon enough to finally be finished new public safety headquarters.
Plans which resulted in the the American Civil Liberties Union, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, The Freedom From Religion Foundation, and fifteen local taxpayers filing a compelling lawsuit against primarily Quincy Mayor Koch given his clearly obvious violations of fundamental original tenants of both the US Constitution and the even older Massachusetts Constitution.
While Quincy Quarry was slow to pick up on word of Mayor Koch finding himself muzzled, the timing works out as interrogatories from the City of Quincy in response to the lawsuit were due last Monday and the Quincy Quarry News has good reason to expect to see the presiding judge issue a do not install the statues injunctions forthwith as in perhaps as soon as mid-July.
That and a highly likely declaratory judgement favorable to the plaintiffs suing the City of Quincy relatively soon thereafter.
Fortunately for long-financially suffering local taxpayers care of all manner of legal problems caused by the major, he claimed that this time he will be relying on private funding to fight his latest legal Q-up for a welcome change.
A very welcome change.
Unfortunately, however, Quincy Quarry News has been working a number of other problems mostly intertwined that will likely cost mostly local homeowners tens of millions of their hard-earned money.
