Monday night’s shooting incident inside of a popular Quincy Point restaurant includes quite an inside story.
Per a reliable source with solid access, what went down is said to have rolled out as follows and thus makes for the latest Quincy Quarry News exclusive scoop.
A belligerent drunk unknown to those at what is very much a regulars’ place was asked to leave by the owner, a retired Quincy police detective.

Instead of leaving, the belligerent party pulled out a handgun and then fired off multiple gunshots.

Fortunately, while shots went through walls and such, no one was seriously hurt.
At same time, the drunk was jumped and disarmed by the ex-cop and a few others who joined in on the fray.
Obviously, such a response is not advised by working police even if the belligerent was so decommissioned as a threat.
In any event, a massive response by police and other first responder rolled to the scene with police then taking away the no longer handgun packing drunk following his arrest on surely multiple charges as well as seizing his weapon for reasons obvious.
What restaurant did this happen at?
Stepping up once again because apparently, we’re just doing vigilante justice now. A pistol-packing belligerent?
Sounds like just another Tuesday at the local bar, but props to the brave citizen who decided, ‘Not today, buddy.’ Maybe the city should start handing out medals… or at least comping Dunkin’ runs for our local heroes
