Piled almost as high as City of Quincy debt …
A Quincy Quarry News exclusive image

Fall ended last week on December twentieth with a double header of snowfalls hitting Quincy.

While both waves of snowfall were well-forecast, the City of Quincy’s response to them all but failed to drop plows on city streets or at least spread road salt in a timely — much less proactive — manner.

Other than around City Hall which was quickly cleared down to the pavement per standard operating procedure.

The woeful overall responses to these two snowfall citywide by the City of Quincy, however, proved to be especially problematic as seriously cold weather then followed and so turned uncleared snow into frozen hard icy sheets.

Even so, there was some good news: for the first time since 2009 Metro Boston officially enjoyed a white Christmas!

The bad news: local towing companies and auto body shops are surely enjoying a very green Chri$tma$ $ea$on.

Even worse, more bad news then followed.

Early in the day on Christmas Eve an Alberta Clipper dropped a light coasting of fresh snow and so primed the outdoors for Kodak moments as well as selfies but which again the City of Quincy was at best slow to address.

Calling it a day early

Then again, it should come as no great surprise that City Hall concurrently called it a day at noon on Christmas Eve just as the Koch Maladministration was about to go 0 for 3 on the first three snowfalls of the only just beginning cold time of the year.

In turn, one cannot help but wonder if Team Koch will be going the way of the Patriots this season.
