On a sunny bu frigid but Sunday morning days before Christmas, Quincy Police rolled en masse to an alleged stabbing incident at a large complex of apartment buildings on the Quincy Center side of Southern Artery in Quincy Point roughly opposite the 1000 Southern Artery senior housing complex.
The incident appears to have been a potentially grave instance of domestic violence.
Per police radio chatter, a female stabbing victim was said to have likely been stabbed ten times or more with upwards of five of her stab wounds to her head and probably at least three of the ten to her torso.
Blood was said to be everywhere and words were heard over the radio calling for the ambulance to step on it given the severity of the wounds.
The assumed perpetrator was said to be a Black male who goes by the name of Tony but apparently is actually a Reginald out of Dorchester.
Police K9’s were called to the scene and apparently assisted in Reginald’s capture nearby in the vicinity of Quincy Avenue and Scammell Street.
Radio chatter indicated that charges will include attempted murder as well as that the knife assumed to have been used in the attack had been gathered by police as evidence.

A suspected domestic violence stabbing because —— apparently —— resolving problems with a knife is the new neighborhood pastime? City leaders are probably drafting another ‘thoughts and prayers’ statement as we speak while everyone else wonders when actual resources for addressing domestic violence will make it into the budget. Maybe if we renamed it ‘Quincy Tourism Enhancement,’ they’d find the funds. Until then, it’s just another grim day in the city that never seems to run out of bad news.
