Quincy Massachusetts News, Opinion, and Commentary by Quincy Quarry News
Last night shortly before 11 pm a Quincy Quarry News Citizen Police Scanner Monitor heard police radio chatter of a purported waiving of a handgun by a white male at least near the sandwich shop next to North Quincy High School and thus diagonal to the McDonald’s on the other side of Hancock Street in North Quincy.
The good news: there was no word heard of shots fired.
The bad news: there was no word heard of the seizure of the handgun, much less word of an arrest of the person said to be waiving it.
Further bad news: this incident followed a few days after a police radio report of two people purportedly threatening others with a knife in at least the vicinity of the North Quincy location of a major retailer adjacent to the North Quincy MBTA station that is regularly mentioned on the Quincy Police Department radio channel.
Just think with the money not spent on mayor and council raises that are in the budget we could probably get 1 or 2 more cops on duty per shift.
Not to mention bigger bang for the buck. Way bigger.
