Unfortunately, the driver was both struck by multiple gunshots well as trapped in the wrecked ride such that Quincy firefighters had to break out the “jaws of life” so as to be able to extract the victim so that he could then be transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, Quincy Quarry has no further information about the condition of the driver but the Quarry’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers to count on it to continue to follow the story and report any updates as might be appropriate.

In the meanwhile, the Quincy Police Department has announced that an investigation is active and ongoing.  Police believe that the victims were targeted and thus the public is most likely not in danger.

Police requested that anyone with information concerning the incident please call the department’s detectives at 617-745-5718.
