Firefighter Troy was a Quincy High graduate, a marine, a hockey player, and a Special Operations and Technical Rescue firefighter with the elite downtown Boston Engine 10 unit.
He was but 32 at the time of his passing from occupational cancer care of hazmat exposure.
Mat is survived by his wife Rachel and will be missed by her, other family, many friends, fellow firefighters and marines, and his beloved dog Ralphie.
