House whackers are nothing new to Quincy residents.
At the same time, two whackings on the same day are out of the ordinary.
Both whackings apparently also occurred in broad daylight yesterday as opposed to under the usual cover of darkness as well as care of an all but assuredly inebriated driver.

One whacking was a midday hit and run on East Squantum Street in Quincy.
Particulars on this whacking are limited as the Quincy Police radio traffic was fast and furious at the time of this latest house whacking accident such that Quincy Quarry’s Senior Police Scanner Monitor was only able to capture so much.
For example, a blue Lexus was heard mentioned, however, it was unclear if it was involved in the house whacking or some other police matter.
And the other house whacking yesterday occurred in Norwell.
The house struck in Norwell is a three hundred year historic home.
The good news, the homeowners were not home and the driver only suffered minor injuries.
The bad news, not only have the home owners spent the last three years restoring the home to pristine postcard condition, they are scheduled to be married in three weeks.
Ah, nothing like a good old-fashioned double house whacking to liven up the neighborhood! In broad daylight, no less – because who needs the cover of darkness when you can terrorize the community with brazen confidence? I suppose subtlety is overrated. It’s comforting to know that our streets are so safe and secure. Maybe next time, the culprits can send out a “save the date” so we can all gather ’round with popcorn and make a day of it. Bravo to our local law enforcement for their impeccable timing. I’m sure they were busy with something more important, like rescuing cats from trees
