When it rains, it pours.
Especially when recently built large apartment projects in Quincy are involved.
Care of a dime dropped Quincy Quarry News’ way came word that the Maryland-based developer that built the camel designed by a committee eyesore and congestion-causing Charlie Foxtrot of 610 apartment and some retail space complex on MBTA air rights at its Red Line station in North Quincy has filed a lawsuit against the project’s Boston-based architect.
The multi-million claim includes complaints about alleged structural design flaws that posed flooding risks as well as dozens more purported structural design flaws.
Amazingly, however, no complaints were lodged about the dreadful exterior design of the project.

Then again, perhaps abutters and other variously impacted parties will file a separate class action suit.
In the meanwhile, the alleged problems explain why the last time Quincy Quarry looked that the garage capacity built by the developer as well as completed awhile back has yet be made available for use Red Line straphangers.

Another day, another lawsuit over a problematic apartment project in Quincy. It’s like watching a never-ending series of architectural nightmares unfold before our very eyes. At this rate, they might as well rename the city to Lawsuitville, where every building comes with its own legal drama. Keep up the good work, Quincy, your construction controversies are the gift that keeps on giving!
This is a busy day for my comments on this edition of the Quarry News as I have commented on the previous three stories. This is an interesting story and I am wondering about the unmentioned potential involvement of our City of Quincy Building Approval and Building Inspection Departments. This multi-million claim includes complaints about alleged structural design flaws that posed flooding risks as well as dozens more purported structural design flaws. Hmmm…It seems to me the City of Quincy is going to get involved in this lawsuit. And this lawsuit is not the only one with our plethora of new apartment and condominium projects in the City of Quincy?
