Soggy and blustery spring so far, all will be right in Greater Boston when the Red Sox hit the field at Fenway Park for their home opener tomorrow afternoon at 2:10 pm.
The forecast for tomorrow is for mostly clear skies, a light breeze, and temperatures running in the reasonably comfortable low fifty degree range.
On top of all being right for area sports fans with the return of baseball to Fenway, the Red Sox are off to a good start and are currently but a game behind the division leading New York Yankees as well as that so far the Red Sox have one of the better records in all of Major League Baseball.
Opening Day activities will include a twentieth anniversary celebration of the Red Sox’s reversing The Course of the Bambino as well as a remembrance of the recent as well as tragically too early passings of Rex Sox great Tim Wakefield and his wonderful wife, two of the very best people to have ever been a part of the Red Sox organization..
Tomorrow’s game should also be a good one. the Baltimore Orioles, arguably last season’s turnaround team in all of Major League Baseball, will be the visiting team for the Sox’s home opener.
We’re playing below our talent level & you could argue BOS is playing above theirs. On paper I say we take 2 out of 3 handily. But with how our bats are shuffling AND our gloves are shifting the bed I’m just gonna watch with 1 eye on my glass of bourbon.
