During a quiet and sunny Saturday early in the afternoon this past weekend, a house at the lower outlet of tony Colonial Drive onto Adams Street at the base of the (formerly, ed.) Hospital Hall neighborhood was hit with a police search warrant around 2 pm per one of Quincy Quarry’s Citizen Police Scanner Monitors.
Of particular concern, this police raid was an all but all units proposition with at least seven police patrol officers on the scene plus who only knows how many more in the way of senior officers and detectives.
In turn, the said to be all but unprecedented size of the search warrant team left the rest of Quincy with virtually no regular patrol coverage.
At the same time, it must be noted that the search warrant was imposed at a typically quiet time of the week and was thus likely so scheduled to be undertaking when things in Quincy might be at least somewhat quiet.
In any event, the search warrant team was specifically tasked with securing the perimeter of the targeted residence before the search warrant was then executed.
While Quincy Quarry is continuing to monitor the situation for further information and then report as might be appropriate, the Quarry has already been advised by a well-placed as well as reliable source that an adult child of the family living in the house raided by police has a substance abuse problem as well as is suspected of committing multiple burglaries.
Accordingly, the goal of the search warrant was to endeavor to find stolen goods and/or other evidence tied to the burglaries.
