After a relatively pleasant, quiet, and unseasonably warm first weeks of March, cold winds blew in from the Great White North this week during the first several days of astronomical spring followed by a seriously wet forecast for Easter weekend.
And backing up to the start of this fast wrapping up week, it started out on St. Patrick’s Day and which featured at least the second annual visit by Quincy police to a certain Marina Bay food and especially beverage purveyor.
No word, not yet anyway, if Mr. Handsy, formerly known as Mr. Snippy, factored into this year’s police appearance.
Next up, spring kicked off with a cold snap after what had been an unseasonably warm start to March.
Things then unexpectedly shifted to coverage of one of Quincy Quarry’s media brethren getting whacked by a motor vehicle while walking to his residence near Quincy District Courthouse and so became this week’s pedestrian whacking feature.
Fortunately, a little comic relief then happened: the just selected Quincy City Council President, a self-professed independent Libertarian, pulled papers to apparently run in the upcoming primary so as to then perhaps be able to challenge incumbent US Senator Elizabeth Warren in November.
Bon chance of that, however …
Next up, Quincy Quarry One rolled to the scene and took exclusive pictures at the scene of yet another likely at least serious injury/accident along Washington Street.
Also this week was (School) Traffic Guard Appreciation Day.
In turn, Quincy Quarry could only properly offer local traffic guards props.
Serious props. .
Wicked serious props.
After all, local traffic guards have long seen local school children under their care safely cross the ever-increasingly mean and thus dangerous streets of Quincy.
And for another special day, Friday was National Goof Off (At Work, ed.) Day, a day which is surely a hack hire high holy day within at least some City of Quincy departments.
After all, we are talking Quincy.
