A classic old school neon sign

Last Wednesday night Dave Puglisi, an Emmy-winning reporter for WHDH Channel 7, was struck by a motor vehicle while he was walking within a crosswalk at the intersection of Chestnut, Cottage, and Foster Streets with and Daniel Ryan Parkway adjacent to the long-closed Sully’s bar near Quincy District Courthouse.

Pgulisi was on his way home when he was struck and so sent flying.  He suffered various injuries including two fractured vertebra.

Fortunately, no spine cord damage was inflicted.

Also a positive, he is already home recuperating as well as somewhat up and about even if still in pain.

Conversely, other reports suggest that the driver may have been incapacitated by some sort of undisclosed medical episode.

No word, however, if the episode might have been entailed a bad ice cube.

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry News has offered its media brethren both its best wishes and its assistance as he too has a long ongoing interest in pedestrian and traffic safety.
