Quincy Quarry’s Senior Police Scanner Monitor picked up word of yet another pedestrian whacking in Quincy and this time during this evening’s commute.
This latest whacking occurred all but next door to the scene of a fatal whacking of a senior pedestrian last month and who had been a resident of the 1000 Southern Artery senior housing facility.
Additionally, this latest whacking has seen extensive media coverage.

The latest victim is a senior who was apparently struck while crossing the street in a crosswalk but this time survived the whacking; however, the extent of the injuries suffered, much less the victim’s condition at this point, is currently unknown.
- UPDATE: Victim in critical condition.
What is known is that the struck person impacted the windshield as well as other parts of a dark colored mid-sized SUV and its driver fled the scene.
Accordingly, Quincy police would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have more information.
