Granted, alacrity is not known to be a work habit of at least certain of those dining at the public trough, a Quincy Quarry News Citizen Photojournalist has photo documented arguably a new low in sloth exhibited by two City of Quincy employees.
In this instance, yesterday the two city employees were seen taking roughly twenty minutes to drill but a couple of holes into a telephone pole and then use the holes to attach a no parking sign.
Even more slovenly, the two looked to be serious Dunkin Donuts doughnuts fans.
Both were so corpulent that not only did they have trouble merely getting in and out of their city ride, one of them struggled mightily to get into their ride’s cargo bed so as to use it is as a manner of step ladder and so surely committed various, if not all manner of OSHA safety code violations.
Even more disconcerting, both of them were clearly winded from what little they did to put up a single parking sign and so spent a similar amount of time more perusing things on their smartphones after installing the sign.
Unfortunately, the Citizen Photojournalist could not score a camera angle to discern of these city employees might have been watching anything NSFW.
Don’t approach them, they are like wild animals when forced to work.
Slow and steady wins the race. Hasn’t the story of the hare and the tortoise has taught you anything!!!
Ms. Bernard,
No offense, but have you missed how Quincy Quarry has long as well as relentlessly worked a number of its exposés into hard-hitting to the stones serialized coverage?
In fact, the Quarry is ramping up to yet again do so given a long expected and likely to be expensive court ruling against the City of Quincy next month or thereabouts that is tied to a long ongoing set of disputes. Figure millions in the way of damages likely to be imposed upon the city in due course as well as that the proposed intertwined koched-up edifice complex is all but assuredly facing greatly increased costs with the only wild card will punitive damages also end up awarded.
Further, if this court ruling plays out as can only reasonably be expected, the City of Quincy’s so found to be improper actions could further become an embarrassing case study on how not to do things and as was the case in a previous related dispute involving the same victimized entity .
