Former Fall River Mayor and now federal prison inmate Jasiel Correia was recently moved to his sixth prison placement in three months.
Such repeated transfers with the “Club Fed” system over such a short period of time are relatively rare.
Accordingly, early on at the start of his transferrings, Quincy Quarry News’ Prison and Prison Affairs desk opined that perhaps Correia might be in some sort of “witless” protection project given perhaps his offering to go state’s evidence against some other malefactor.
Now, however, it is all but certain that Correia is undergoing “Diesel Therapy.”
In brief, Diesel Therapy is the term used to describe the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ practice of repeatedly transferring disruptive prisoners from Club Fed to Club Fed, hence the use of the word “diesel.”
In this instance, as Correia’s history of bad behavior does not include a known history of violent behavior, the current working theory on the Quarry’s Prison and Prison Affairs Desk is that Correia has likely been engaging in an unacceptable level of “do you know who I am” or otherwise been an annoying nuisance.
Granted, as the Bureau of Prison has been silent as to Correia’s numerous relocations, one can only reasonably suspect that he has been undergoing Diesel Therapy if he does not eventually score an early release for good behavior.
Accordingly, with a currently scheduled release date of October 29, 2026, those who might care to know will so know if Correia has been behaving — or not — during his stay with Club Fed if he does not score an early release date.
And in the meanwhile, corrupt public officials should all take notice.
