Quincy Quarry’s current intern dropped the ball to see the following Quincy Quarry News Citizen Police Radio Scanner snippet go to press sooner.
The snippet?
Not all that late on Friday night past, a car was spotted as speeding along Washington while heading towards Quincy Center.
Per police radio chatter, the speeding driver was clocked as doing 90 miles per hour.
Unclear, however, if pursuing police were able to make the license plate of the speeder’s ride.
In any event, the speeding driver then banged a high speed left onto McGrath Highway, sped on to Burgin Parkway southbound and shortly thereafter merged onto Route 3.
Speeding violations notwithstanding, after back and forth on the police radio, Quincy police in hot pursuit were advised to break off pursuit per standard department policy so as to avoid a disastrous outcome or at least one that did not involve a Quincy police ride or rides.
