— News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News
Quincy Quarry’s Citizen Police Scanner Monitor just picked up word of a troubling and apparently ongoing incident at Quincy’s BJ’s store.
Apparently a suspected homeless black man had been threatening an employee or employees with his plans to leave and come back with a gun.
He apparently left but it is unclear if when he returned he did, in fact, return with a gun.
Additionally, other Quincy police dispatch radio calls called for officers to do used drug needles pick-ups.
The requested pick-up sites were at 240 Hancock Street and 100 Washington Street.
240 Hancock Street is hard upon North Quincy High School and 100 Washington is an old brick apartment building opposite the back entrance to Quincy District Court’s back entrance to its surface parking lot.
Needless say, Quincy Quarry’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers can count on the Quarry to monitor these disconcerting situations and report on any future developments as might be appropriate.
- Update: in the wake of a sizeable police response, the individual threatening violence at BJ’s was captured in a wooded area behind BJ’s. No word, however, if a gun was seized.
