While a lesser amateur night locally than is the monumental amateur night that is St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo has long been a West Coast excuse for pounding down adult libations made with Tequila even if Mexicans consider Cinco de Mayo to be a lesser at best national holiday.
Now, however, in the wake of the COVID pandemic and thus some possible moderating of day drinking as employers are cutting back allowing employees to work from, home, Cinco de Mayo falling on a Friday this year offers the perfect storm, of an opportunity to knock back a few after work.
Unclear, however, is if a certain City of Quincy senior suit who is said to have gotten sloppy and then most surprising untoward towards two females on St. Patrick’s Day this year has been told no mas as this year is a local mayoral election year.
