The week that just ended started out with reports of gunshots at a home invasion in West Quincy Sunday night that left three victims stabbed.
That and the purported perp was said to have also been wounded.
Further disconcerting, no arrest was made initially even though it had been said early on that the alleged perp had been identified and would show up for arraignment in Quincy District Court on Tuesday.
Instead, the perp was arrested in Boston on Wednesday with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and thus he was not arraigned in Quincy District Court until Thursday.
In any event, better late then not at all.
Then things subsequently crashed when Quincy Quarry looked at data which confirmed that local streets are not only potholed but also dangerous given that local Q-hole drivers are even more problematic drivers than your typical Masshole.
Even more troubling, not only are other cars getting whacked, so too are pedestrians and bicyclists.
And speaking of whacked, three members of the MBTA Board of Directors, including the Chair of the Board, got two in the hat this week and then were replaced by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey.
Unfortunately, the dead weight that is Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch will continue to be the most senior member of the MBTA Board of Directors by dint of his over decade-long stint as the Chair of the also ineffectual MBTA Advisory Board and thus is not among those whom the governor cab throw under a train.
And finally, for reasons outside of Quincy Quarry News’ control, publication of the Quarry’s long promised and surely as well as widely anticipated arguably first formal proactive investigation journalism piece that had been promised to be published this past week after a week’s delay will again be delayed until next week.
Even so, there is some good news arising from this delay: surely the only to be suspected usual suspects will be continuing to sweat over the weekend.
