Quincy Quarry News’ Photo Recon Team Six yet exposé the Koch Maladministration.
In this instance, what Photo Recon Team Six has exposéd with irrefutable documentation is yet another example of the free-spending ways of the Koch Maladministration.
While working the scene of the recent near catastrophic and still unexplained fire at Quincy’s City Hall, Snow Team Six personnel sensed anomalies with the big black Chevrolet Tahoe Secret Service Special Edition all but exclusively used by Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch as his at least de facto City Ride.
So what that someone in the know has advised Quincy Quarry that Mayor Koch also receives a car allowance for his personal ride.
Fortunately for the mayor, however, apparently the IRS does not know about this arguable double dipping as regards the mayor’s job-related benefit.
At least not yet anyway.
Returning to the anomalies, upon a review of Photo Recon Team Six’s vast library of images, it so became unarguably clear that the mayor is enjoying a new City Ride even if the old one was only a few years old as well as surely only had modest mileage on its odometer even if at the same time it had to haul a load.
Images exposing the anomalies follow.
..
Unfortunately, Team Six was not able to discern just when taxpayers were hit with the cost of providing this new City Ride for Mayor Koch’s use and thus their abuse, much less who ended up with the mayor’s meticulously maintained as well as low mileage old ride, at a time when COVID-19 supply chain disruptions have forced many private citizens to hold onto their rides longer than they might otherwise prefer.
Further problematic, at a time when climate change has become an all but unarguable existential crisis, the mayor’s new ride is huge and at least $65,000 MRSP gas-guzzling and leather upholstered SUV that weighs upwards of three tons.
Granted, while this new Chevy Tahoe Secret Service Special Edition has to haul a load, there are smaller, more fuel-efficient as well as much less expensive and thus also less-opulently featured rides available that could manage to haul Quincy’s peerless mayor as well as perhaps also at least one or two passengers.
Then again, going with something less large and as well as less expensive would upend the all too typical municipal government practice of providing ever-increasingly larger and better featured rides as one goes up the hack food chain regardless of actual vehicular needs of these also typically hack hires.
Also troubling is how Mayor Koch’s new ride is not an environmentally-friendly hybrid, much less an EV.
After all, for but one example, the long-deceased former Boston Mayor Tom Menino relied on a hybrid vehicle as his City Ride in the final years of his time in office over a decade ago, not to mention that Menino also became both a serious proponent AND user of environmentally green bicycles years earlier, including submitting himself to the indignity of being photographed wearing shorts.

How long did it take you to think that one up? Get a life.
Koch’s the man!
Keep up the good works.
Not long at all — it’s so obvious that even you, Marky, could have thought it up.
A $16,000 +/- annual car lease plus also paid for by local taxpayers gas, insurance and maintenance along with a $7,228 a year travel/car allowance, not to mention cheaper to buy. Time to call the IRS Drop a Dime 800 line!
Chop/Chop!!!
He’s the chief executive officer of one of the largest cities in the state. Stop whining!
Mark,
Reality: Quincy is a small city.
And while on the subject of our peerless mayor’s egotistical spending, do know you if he ever reimbursed taxpayers for the well-past merely extravagant imported and custom woven carpeting in his sumptuous imperial, if not also imperious, office suite? Stop genuflecting like a spineless fool.
Good thing we have a City Auditor to investigate this travesty of justice.
Agree Quincy is a big city, why don’t we have a Hospital ??
