Quincy’s first (legal, ed.) recreational pot shop had a soft opening at 5 pm today, Saturday.
In turn, as near as Quincy Quarry could tell the opening smoked on what was a cold, dark and stormy March evening.
While traffic on the adjacent rotary at the base of Quincy side of other Fore River Bridge was most unexpected flowing smoothly flowing smoothly, the pot shop’s parking lot was close to full at 5 and people were heading in to make a score.

The lack of traffic to undertake some trafficking was a good thing as the Quincy Quarry personnel covering the opening did not see obvious signs of a police detail on the scene.
In any event, the heat might turn up on Monday when at 1 pm the pot shop will host a formal opening.
While not certain, early reports suggest that Quincy’ Mayor Thomas P. Koch will be on hand for the traditional kilo cutting.
The Quincy Cannabis Company is a complete rip-off, so disappointing. Ronald Affsa and staff should wear masks while robbing their customers of hard-earned cash.
The shady shop does not list the THC levels on its highly overpriced products.
I am looking forward to the new homeless encampment moving into the rotary.
Don’t know why Mayor Koch let that store open in Quincy. We don’t need this in our community. Please think about our new generation future..
Tom Koch does not care about our children! He only cares about his children getting BS jobs on the taxpayers’ dime.
All one has to do is walk or drive around the city to see how drugs have RUINED our community.
Cops cannot even leave the station without reporting they have Narcan in their cruisers!
I’m sure most young adults living on our streets and committing crimes did not start off on heroin or fentanyl.
I hope Tom Koch and David McCarthy burn in hell for taking Ronald Affsa’s undeclared cash donations and permitting him to open his drug/laundromat.
If they overcharge and don’t put the THC levels, DO NOT BUY any junk pot there! Let them go out of business if they are trying to shortchange their customers.
Thanks to our spineless elected officials, Washington Street is even more dangerous! The only winners here are Quincy Cannibas Complay and Brewster Ambulance.
