Weymouth Police arrested an alleged road rage knifer in Weymouth around 7 AM this morning and the purported perp was then arranged in Quincy District Court shortly thereafter.

The twenty year-old suspect lives in the Hyde Park area of Boston.

Troubling new details came to light today.

The alleged initial road rage incident happened in the area of the intersection of Sea Street and Quincy Shore Drive near the Quincy Police headquarters in the Merrymount neighborhood and then ended up with a knifing in or near the parking lot at Quincy Catholic Academy in North Quincy near Quincy Mayor Thomas P.  Koch’s residence.

While officials claim that students were never at risk, someone did come out of the school to try to help the victim while the perp contemporaneously fled.

Most troubling of all, however, the alleged perp was arraigned on both knife and gun charges.
