MBTA Green Line Heath E Line reopened a day ahead of schedule

In an arguably unprecedented event in the long and oh so checkered history of the MBTA, the sixteen day shutdown of the Green Line E Line to effect a makeover was completed a day early.

As Quincy Quarry’ New’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers know, the Quarry is tough on the T.
In turn, Quincy Quarry can thus only properly acknowledge that its ruthless scrutiny of the MBTA is significantly fueled by the facts that Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch has also been the Chair of the MBTA Advisory Board for a decade as well as is the senior member of the MBTA’s Board of Directors.
Even so, the Quarry can only properly give the MBTA props whenever they are oh so rarely deserved.
After all, as the T giveth it taketh as today begins the end of all Green Line service north of its Government Center station as well as the also already announced at least another month longer delay in opening Green Line Extension service to Medford.
