Shortly after midnight last night a man likely in his 30’s was found shot in a stairwell within a large upscale apartment next to the Quincy Marriott Hotel as well as within the Crown Colony suburban office park.
He was transported to a hospital but died of his wounds.
While law enforcement officials have stated that no one has been arrested, they concurrently as well as inexplicably stated that they did not feel that apartment building residents or others nearby are at risk.
QPD & MSP investigating a homicide that occurred overnight. At approx. 12:40am, officers responded to area of 5 Crown Drive. Responding officers encountered male in his 30's w/gunshot wounds.

At the same time, it must be noted that earlier but fortunately non-fatal shots fired have been fired within this apartment complex as well as it was rumored at the time that there were some shady tenants among what is a tenant community with a number of downsizing local time resident now-former home-owning Quincy seniors.

Quincy has gone to crap. Way too much crime. Too many people and too much everything else. It’s a crime-infested crap city. It used to be a nice place to live but no more. I can hardly stand it whenever I visit my mom.

True that. When Mayor Koch would surely be willing to stoop even lower to merely but hope to perhaps see Quincy attempt to become the next “Slumerville,” you know things are bad in the Q.
