How hot has it been in Quincy of late?
Apparently so hot that a roof top solar panel supposedly designed to take solar heat burst into flames Friday afternoon reports a local television station..
At least such is the view of a Quincy Fire Department deputy chief.
Fortunately, no one was home at the time as well as family pets were out of the house and instead chilling in air-conditioned outbuildings when the roof of the house went up in flames.
