The bus driver, a driver for transportation services contracted by Quincy Public Schools District to transport especially vulnerable Special Education students, was arrested by Quincy Police on Wednesday for allegedly operating under the influence while dazed and confused while driving about trying to find a doughnut while on the job.
Needless to say, one can only reasonably assume that the cited school bus driver will pose a “Twinkie Defense” at her impending court hearing.
And as for the rest of this ultimately far worse than a merely embarrassing story that reflects poorly on school officials, see the particulars reported in the South Shore broadsheet as well as especially the comment posted by a local well-known gadfly whom the Quarry has long unsuccessfully sought to add to its news team.
