In a breathtaking announcement, however much long-anticipated within the Quincy Quarry Newsroom, US Attorney Rachael Rollins announced that her Civil Rights unit has opened up an investigation into whether or not the City of Quincy’s long-ongoing koch-blocking of the CIty of Boston’s plans to rebuild its Long Island Bridge on its dime is in violation of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.
Apparently, Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s call for meeting with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu to discuss the bridge and that everything was on the table was not well-received and thus dimes were then dropped to see the US Attorney’s Office ponder a nuclear option.
How nuclear?
If the investigation leads to a successful prosecution, Quincy taxpayers could well find themselves on the hook to pay serious punitive damages to the City of Boston.
For an opening starting point as to how much, potentially as much as treble damages based on the construction cost increases inflicted upon Boston care of Mayor Koch and Squantum NIMBY’s long-ongoing playing troll with the bridge as well as imputed pain and suffering so also imposed upon addicts who were denied treatment given the long-ongoing koch-blocking of Boston’s plans to rebuild its bridge.
Needless to say, Quincy Quarry New’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers can count on the Quarry following this breaking story and then reporting on it both when and as appropriate.

“If the investigation leads to a successful prosecution, Quincy taxpayers could well find themselves on the hook to pay serious punitive damages to the City of Boston.”
That doesn’t even include all the taxpayer dollars that have already been wasted on this fool’s errand. Thanks for yet another Kocharama.
I pray every day for the many souls that our Catholic Mayor has left “treading water” for help. Shame on the Mayor and his selfish policy.
How much NARCAN stock does Koch & Company own?
Koch’s team should have worked with Mayor Wu on how Quincy residents could access and benefit from the proposed building, maintenance, and needed programs on the islands. More than a few Quincy residents need help for loved ones and good-paying jobs!
More missed opportunities and costly legal bills c/o sh*tty hall!
Quincy Police, Fire, and Rescue have brought to life more zombies than Netflix! Do you know how much Narcan the city has dispensed over the past six years?
Does anyone recall a lot of whining about traffic in Squantum before the bridge was removed? I don’t seem to recall that it had ever been mentioned as a major complaint.
In fact, the City of Quincy — at the behest of we-all-know-who — seems to be enthusiastic about continuous overdevelopment (and overspending) that has turned the streets of Quincy into a nonstop traffic nightmare. But, apparently, that’s OK as long as the bridge to Long Island isn’t rebuilt.
Koch and Co. don’t care whether this bridge is built or not. It’s the big bunch of Squantum votes that really counts.
After all is $aid and done the bridge will be built.
Pretty expensive votes, but Tommy Taxes doesn’t care, it isn’t his money.
