– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News
In what was a head scratcher even for the hard-bitten and even harder drinking Quincy Quarry News crew comes word from the Citizen Photojournalist of something extraordinarily inexplicable even per the practices of the City of Quincy workforce.
So much so, in fact, that the Department of Public Works’ so-called “Pothole Patrol” almost looks pro.
Whoddathunk that was possible?!?!?!?
Not even by the slackers at the Department of Natural Resource Country Club.
In any event, the triggering event: while out and about on a sunny afternoon hike at Merrymount Park around 2 pm, the Photojournalist reports that he found someone sitting on a parked Department of Natural Resources mini-tractor in an out of the way corner of Pageant Field.
A way out of the way corner near the Black’s Creek recreational boat dock.
So still were things, the Photojournalist made a double-take to check if the person on the riding mower might have stroked out.
So too did a passing dog take a double-take before he then took a sniff.
That and then marked his spot.
Even more eery, however, was when the Citizen Photojournalist circled back half an hour, the person on the mower was still sitting on the mower as well as that the mower was still parked in the exact same place.
But then the Photojournalist spotted that the mower rider was intently focused on his Smartphone.
Unclear, however, what he was so intensely focused even if one can readily come up with a few ideas.

Waiting for the grass to grow…
Too stoned to drive is more likely; look at the park job!
Really, get to work, this is not City Hall.
Is that a Hack Detection K-9?
