– News about Quincy Massachusetts from Quincy Quarry News.
Quincy Faxon Park snowbound after Super Bowl Sunday Snowstorm.
Just as Quincy Quarry News was about to work up yet another extremely popular with Quincy Quarry’s evergrowing legions of loyal readers Quincy City Hall Snow Job story in the wake of last Sunday’s storm, the story was put on hold.
The reason? A Quincy Quarry Citizen Photojournalist sent along photos taken within Faxon Park Wednesday afternoon and shared word of how Faxon Park’s roads were still snow-covered three days after the storm.
Needless to say, the road conditions in Faxon Park were in all but the complete opposite condition of the usually perfected plowed roads in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in the wake of not only most any snowstorm. but also throughout the snowfall record-setting Winter of 2015.
Then again, dog walkers and runners in the Merrymount neighborhood as well as at least a couple of permanent residents of the Mt. Wollaston Cemetery clearly appear to be better connected with the Koch Maladministration than are the long as well as pervasively suffering residents of the Faxon Hill neighborhood.
Granted, while there were hints of plowing the roads in Faxon Park, they were clearly not well-plowed, much less showing any signs of their salting.
Also granted, while the lack of salt is appreciated by dogs, the lack of duly clearing Faxon Park roads has surely forced a number of dogs to take care of their business in other ways.

We walk our dogs at Mt Wollaston cemetery because the roads were nicely plowed and much safer to walk than the Faxon park road.
More dog owners should use the always well-cleared city hall plaza to exercise their pups after snowstorms!
Chuck,
Actually, a lot of dogs already hit the turf behind John Hancock’s statute on the Granite Trust building end of Kim Jong Koch Plaza. See https://quincyquarry.com/quincy/2021/07/09/clover-patches-and-dog-spots-in-quincys-kim-jong-koch-plazas-lawn/
In the future, whenever any dog owner’s street or other walking area — such as Faxon Park — has been neglected as far as plowing or clearing a passage through the snow, just take your dogs to Newbury Ave. It’s always plowed there — curb to curb, sidewalks too. And it’s a great place for our canine friends to leave their autographs.
Quincy stopped serving the homeless community years ago, including plowing their campgrounds and removing their trash!

True, in other city’s, you take bread to the park to feed the birds; however, in Quincy, you take bread to the park to feed the homeless.
