Jaisel Correia II gets lucky on Valentine’s Day.

Former Fall River mayor and now convicted felon Jasiel Correia scored yet another delay on checking into a New Hampshire Club Fed to serve a six-year sentence over various sorts of corruption including endeavoring to illegally facilitate prospective marijuana entrepreneurs’ scoring operating licenses.

The relatively recently married Corriea was scheduled to check into prison today, Valentine’s Day, but his most recently secured delay was granted so that he could participate in various motions ranging from appealing that the jury’s conviction be reversed, ordering a new trial to revising his sentence to one that does not include imprisonment.

Correia was originally slated to report to prison on December 3 of last year and his latest reporting date is March 4.

At the same time, there is something to be said for stringing him along in the hope that he can talk his way out of prison much as he previously talked himself into office as the mayor of Fall River, only to then order him to finally report to prison to commence his sentence.
