Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch interviewed about the blizzard by CNN.
As surely most everyone who lives in Quincy knows, Quincy Mayor Koch is always up for a photo op and this time he scored a rare opportunity for a national news outlet video op.
Per a Quincy Quarry News Citizen Newsmonitor, Mayor Koch apparently scored a brief feature on CNN this morning even though he has a face for radio.
However, the interviewer purportedly ended the interview on a less than positive note when he closed his piece with what Quincy Quarry News would view as a likely Freudian slip mispronouncing of Quincy Mayor Koch’s last name.
Also unfortunate, the buzzkills on Quincy Quarry News’ Standards and Practices desk would not allow this Quarry reporter to use the word that accurately represents the purported mispronunciation of Mayor Koch’s last name by the CNN reporter.
Even worse while at the same time fortunate for Mayor Koch, searching for this snippet on CNN’s website and then streaming it on Quincy Quarry is not possible, not to mention who in her or his right mind would opt to monitor CNN in the hope of perhaps catching a rerun of ifs quick interview of Quincy’s bantam rooster even if catching it would be a hoot.
Walks like a duck and talks like a duck………
Nearly choked on my coffee from laughing so hard.

The only viewers that CNN has left are airport travelers who don’t have earplugs. Logan was closed today so unless you were on an OHare layover, you’ll have to guess that the CNN reporter went with the NY pronunciation for Koch.
Paulita,
You are spot on as regards CNN’s paltry audience; however, it was not the New York pronunciation of Koch’s last name. Rather, it was said that the reporter used another name for a rooster.
