– News about Quincy Massachusetts covered by Quincy Quarry News with commentary added.
Quincy facing its first significant snowfall of the season.
So too is much of Greater Metro Boston as well as Rhode Island.
The National Weather Service has announced a Winter Storm Alert alter and is projecting six to eight inches of snow from Boston to roughly Providence and falling mostly overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning.
Granted, such would be a significant snowfall, but still a snow event that should be manageable most anywhere other than in Quincy other than around the invariably as well as thoroughly ploughed City Hall.
At the same time, what is amazing is how for the most part local broadcast, cable, and online weather forecasters have been relatively non-plussed over the first plowable snow event of the season.
For example, Quincy Quarry’s online media brethren at the Universal Hub has ascribed a but three-slice elevated alert on the impending storm per its beloved French Toast Alert System Index.
Even so, Quincy Quarry News expects Quincy to yet end up at the bottom of the snow pile when it comes to snow and ice removal.
Hope they don’t spend all of the snow budget on this “storm”
Mr. Wham,
Not to worry. This is not a good photo op opportunity.
Our mayor has a spending problem. I bet the spending began for this storm yesterday! Even so, the city will be a mess tomorrow.
I wonder how many snow plow contractors contributed to our low-rise mayor’s campaign? All? I bet it’s an unwritten requirement!
At any rate, I have to go endure the cold so that I can remove the side mirror from my classic car so a plow does not.
