Another scandal with ties to North Quincy High

North Quincy High girls’ basketball coach placed on leave pending an investigation over allegations of impropriety.

Needless to say, Quincy is thus already looking to have its first lingering into 2022 scandal.

As first broked in the Boston broadsheet in the middle of last month and was then followed up by the South Shore broadsheet this week, this individual has been put on leave while the allegations are investigated.

In fairness, it must be noted that the crux of allegations are rumored to be over problematic coaching practices rather than other sorts of abuse.

Even so, after apparently taking a break from coaching given a rumored previous kerfuffle, he was still approved to return to coaching six years ago and after he was elected to the Quincy School committee in ways that left at least some scratching their heads.

Needless to say, it will be interesting to see if he attends the next School Committee meeting. 

While one can only reasonably assume that the meeting will probably be held next Wednesday per usual scheduling practices, Quincy Quarry was unable to find a formal notion of when the meeting is scheduled to be held per Massachusetts Public Meeting laws and such.

Then again, given recent embarrassments for School Committee Chair Mayor Thomas P. Koch, one can only assume that he does not care to see the general public show up at the next meeting even if but remotely via Zoom.

After all, he has long been in hot water. with ever-increasing diverse local residents.
