– News about Quincy from Quincy Quarry News.
Quincy streets were mostly snow-covered after the first snowfall of the season.
Last night’s perfectly forecast expectation of no more than an inch of snowfall last night was spot on the mark.
In turn, while Quincy was only hit by a modest dusting, it did make for a wintery scene as the holiday season approaches.
Also spot on the mark was Quincy Quarry News’ expectation that there would be no obvious effort by the City of Quincy to address the snowfall except for the usual snow job at Quincy’s two City Halls.
After all, God forbid that senior Kochsters have to suffer dealing with a little snow and ice in the City Hall VIP parking lot.
That and how “…. some are more equal than others,” horrifically bad optics be damned, as the true “Quincy Way” lives large at local taxpayers’ expense in the era of the Koch Machine.
Conversely, from one of Quincy Quarry’s roving news traffic traffickers comes word that while Quincy Streets were snowy slip and slides, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation did a great job addressing snow on its Blue Hills thoroughfares.
Needless to say, when the City of Quincy falls well short of the DCR when it comes to addressing snow on roads should any Quincy locals be all that surprised?
Award-winning local journalism! I was stunned to read that the mayor’s private parking lot was pre-treated for snow before the taxpayers’ roads. That defies logic!
