– News about Quincy from Quincy Quarry News
Quincy Point massive lockdown by local first responders closes off neighborhood.
Quincy Quarry would appear to be the first media to break this disconcerting Thanksgiving weekend story.
On a wicked cold Saturday In an otherwise quiet Quincy Point neighborhood which includes the local Salvation Army Community Center, a phalanx of first responders blocked off a narrow street near Washington Street that runs from Edwards Street to Elm Street.
At least a handful of Quincy Police cruisers, the Quincy Fire Department’s Rescue One firetruck complete with eight firefighters in full turnout gear, at least two Brewster Ambulances, and what appeared to be a Crime Scene Investigation van both clogged and blocked the street from shortly after the lunchtime until after sunset.
In spite of duly monitoring Quincy Quarry New’s police scanner, it was not possible for Quarry to discern anything other than that the police and fire personnel were clearing the scene shortly before 6 pm.
It was further impossible to discern if first responders were communicating via an encrypted private radio frequency.
Further yet, and as Quincy Quarry New’s ever-growing legions of loyal readers know, there is no point in the Quarry reaching out to the Quincy Police Department for comment.
Accordingly, Quincy Quarry readers should plan on checking back for possible updates as to just what went down in Quincy Point on a clear and cold Saturday afternoon in the Q.
Did agents finally drag & drain Quincy Quarry? Uno.
Les,
Nope. QQ has fans in the Boston US Attorney’s office as well as among more officers within the QPD than one might realize even if QFD hosers not so much. In turn, such has to be driving La Kocha Nostra meshuga.
I think the agents have been tied up listening to phone calls. Money laundering seems to be the big attention-getter these days, not local journalists.
How do you like them apples Quincy Quarry!
Is this the same story: https://www.wcvb.com/article/quincy-child-found-police-seeking-parents-october-29-2021/38108635 ?
Why were there no obnoxious helicopters roaring around uselessly? Anyway, at least QQ covered the story. As did WCVB (and possibly other TV stations) . But not a peep from any other likely news sources.
Whatever happened on Baxter Street must have been very, very bad. Police, fire, and ambulances were parked on the closed street for hours!
