A little-known New Jersey truck driver defeated a top state Senate power broker on less than $10,000.
While anti-Biden backlash looks to have fallen just short of taking out the incumbent Democratic governor of New Jersey in this week’s election as it did to the Democratic candidate in the Virginia governor’s race, as well as in all manner of state legislature races, the Republican challenger of the New Jersey State Senate President pulled off an upset win and for short money.
Wicked short money.
Additionally, it would appear that the two Democratic state reps whose districts are within the defeated state senator’s district are also looking to lose once all of the votes are counted and then certified by election officials.
Needless to say, this modern David defeats Goliath story has to give hope for others who are stuck with fat cat incumbents with fat campaign fund account balances and who have gotten too big for their britches.
For example, locally.
