Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Too Quiet on the City Hall Front …
Between the upcoming local city council and school committee member elections but unfortunately no mayoral election this year, and how the Boston Red Sox were until last night in the running to perhaps make it the World Series next week, the Koch Maladministration is surely doing what it can to endeavor to lay low.
Even so, the reasons way are obvious.
That and painfully so as for local taxpayers who all but invariably end up stuck with the bills.
Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s all too typical koched-up plans for a new animal pound and new medical offices in Quincy Center so as to finally mitigate the closing of the new former Quincy Medical Center seven years ago now look to be at best having problems.
In fact, to these problems, Mayor Koch endeavored to tap dance around the fact that his plans are not working out as promised via a happy yak “pimpcast” podcast with his hand-picked second banana Mark Carey who fed him set-ups for one-liners that everything was fine when in point of fact they are most likely not.
Instead, local taxpayers are now likely looking at millions, if not many millions, in cost overruns which they will have to cover.
Then again, such is the true Quincy Way during the era of the free-spending Koch Maladministration.
