In short as well as with arguable local parallels, North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-un is showing off his makeover.

Kim had long been rumored to be in ill-health given an extended absence from the public scene but transparency about anything involving his regime is not going to happen in the Hermit Kingdom that is North Korea.

Now, given his reappearance, new speculations are rampant.

For example, rumors abound that Kim has undergone lap band surgery and so limit his intake of food.
