Massachusetts drying out after Tropical Storm Ida dumps on the Northeast.
While other parts of the country were hit hard to wicked hard, the flooding and other sorts of damage caused by Tropical Storm Ida in the Greater Boston area were “relatively” modest, all things considered.
For the most part, the damage in Eastern Massachusetts was but spot flooding, road damage, a brief tornado on the Cape, cars stuck in flooded spots, and flooded basements.
And locally, by yesterday afternoon Quincy was mostly back to normal even if such does not necessarily mean good.
Areas to the south, however, were harder hit to hit wicked harder.
For example, New York City was hit with roughly twice as much rain with often catastrophic to even fatal results.
Even so, New Yorkers coped with things in ways only to be expected out of New Yorkers.
That and a few ways unexpected as well as a whole lot of soggy rats.
Hysterical video! Who is having more fun? The swimming rat or the human on the floatie smoking a ? and drinking a beer? Notable… neither is wearing a mask! Good chance both are gonna come down with some virus or communicable disease after swimming in sewerage! Ugh!
No different than swimming at Wollaston Beach.
New York City sewerage is probably cleaner. Remember, the City of Quincy plead out to a $100 million fix-it ticket for spilling sewerage and polluted storm run-off into the Boston Harbor for well over a decade. FYI: very, very, very few other cities have been so whacked by the feds.
