Quincy Public Buildings Department Public Humiliation Works? Part III

Quincy Quarry News is shocked, shocked that the City of Quincy is actually following up as promised after the Koch Maladministration’s patronage hack hire Commissioner of the City of Quincy’s Public Buildings Department was deservedly embarrassed during the Quincy City Council’s review of the maladministration’s Fiscal Year 2022 budget request last month.

Long overdue roadwork finally underway
A Quincy Quarry News exclusive image

Granted, while technically the woefully long-overdue renovation of Saville Avenue addressed in this Quincy Quarry story is not technically the direct responsibility of Public Buildings’ Mr. Snippy, the local resident’s letter sent to all of the city councillors put into the record pointedly noted the falling down to a point of deserving condemnation of the Public Buildings Departments’ two former residential as well as old buildings now used as office space also pointedly mentioned how the (so-celled, ed.) street on which Public Buildings’ offices, as well as one of the busiest parking garages in Quincy, are located is all but paved via but a patchwork of pothole patches.

Also granted, formal notice of the roadwork was late in coming to advise abutters of the impending work.

Even so, long-suffering property owners along Saville Avenue are not likely to complain about such close notice so long as the work is completed in a timely fashion as opposed to how things have long dragged on with renovating another building to house the Public Buildings’ headquarters.

How long it will take to finish the repaving, however, remains to be seen, not to mention that such will be duly monitored by Quincy Quarry News.
