Mayor Thomas P. Koch withdraws his proposal to buy a $23 million site for a combined new Quincy College and City Hall building.
In a just breaking good news for local taxpayers for a change and thus details are scare, not that the Koch Maladminisration would ever respond to any Quincy Quarry News inquiries, Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch has withdrawn his $23 million ask to yet again overspend on property acquisitions to sate his Edifice Complex jones.
Amazingly, it would appear that the Quincy City Council is for a change pushing back on Mayor Koch’s free-spending ways.
At least until he releases his at this point two week’s late proposed Fiscal Year 2022 budget, that is.

It’s a certainty that Koch is already exploring alternate ways to squander more residential tax dollars. The Adams Academy/Adams presidential library scheme will be entertaining — as well as expensive.
