In turn, one can now only reasonably expect interminable rumblings and perhaps even, however much not as certain, actually incisive congressional hearings, criminal indictments and convictions, and other appropriate next steps might actually follow.

In the meanwhile, what is certain is that bad things have happened, even more bad things may follow, and already people have died.
