Winter officially begins today.

Just when one might think that 2020 could not be any darker, today is both the shortest day of the year when it comes to daylight and thus the official start of winter.

Even worse, approved COVID-19 vaccines notwithstanding, we are looking at more travail care of the pandemic as well as three months of winter.

In other words, at least the start of 2021 is not looking to be a day at the beach either.
