Quincy City Hall Snow Job Clean up Streak Continues.
As the ever-growing legions of Quincy Quarry News readers know to expect, while much of the rest of Quincy continues to be variously impacted by still falling snow care of the still ongoing Nor’easter snow emergency, the arguably pathologically obsessive city employees assigned to Snow Team Six who are so obligated to clearing Kim Jung Koch Plaza of snow and ice, the City Hall entrances as well as the City Hall parking lot were found by Quarry newshounds to already be hard at work at first light this morning.
.
.
By 7 am, essentially all of the pavement on Kim Jung Koch Plaza, the City Hall entrance, and the City Hall VIP parking lot were not only cleared down to the pavement, the entranceways to City Hall were also treated with the special blue-colored deicing material used on Kim Jong Koch Plaza even if a number of nearby city streets were still sloppy to wicked sloppy with snow.
At the same time as it was conspicuous by its absence, the apparently accounted as a City Hall motor pool city ride that is actually all but only used by Quincy Mayor Koch even if he also receives a car allowance was nowhere to be seen.
Then again, surely our peerless mayor was out and about Quincy in his Secret Service Special Edition black full-sized four-wheel-drive SUV and thus gas-guzzling additional taxpayer-funded de facto city ride monitoring as well as heroically directing snow removal efforts around the city.
After all, such all but unarguably shows given the variable as well as mostly less than aces efforts to clear local streets despite the near-perfect timing of the snowfall mostly overnight.
That and how morning traffic has all but disappeared in recent months given COVID-19 pandemic-caused unemployment and working remotely by many of those who are still employed.
