Sizeable Snowstorm coming, snow jobs likely and supermarkets semi-prepared – locals, however, maybe not so much.
A second snow event as 2020 finally winds down to an end surely everyone surely would agree cannot come soon enough. This storm is expected to dump a significant snowfall starting on Wednesday and lingering into Thursday.
At this point, however, the path of the storm and the amount of snowfall are not yet amenable to a relatively accurate forecast.
Even so, the general consensus for the Quincy area is that locals should prepare for as much as twelve inches of snowfall.
In turn, Quincy Quarry’s e-media brethren at Universal Hub are currently giving the storm a three slice rating on its French Toast Storm Scale.
Impending storm notwithstanding, Quincy Quarry personnel dispatched to check out supermarket inventories in advance of the storm found few out shopping but store supplies in good shape in general and especially so given long ongoing supply chain disruptions care of the COVID-19 pandemic and panic hoarding by shoppers.
Milk supplies were solid. So too were eggs.
Even paper products were in surprisingly good shape.
Bread supplies, however, were full of holes. Then again, perhaps Tuesdays are delivery days for bread.
Regardless, with the expected storm looking likely to be the first truly significant storm of the season, one can only reasonably expect that locals will Q up things, one way or more likely many.
